Ductus arteriosus is the fetal shunt that shunts blood from the pulmonary artery to the descending aorta, bypassing the lungs. Ductus venosus is the fetal shunt that shunts blood from the liver to the inferior vena cava, bypassing the liver. Ductus pulmonosus is not a fetal shunt.
