The client's statement, Why did God let this happen? is indicative of the stage of anger. This anger can be directed at anyone deemed responsible, including self, God, the midwife or doctor; the hospital, or other family members.

An almost full peripad needing to be changed every 4 to 5 hours is descriptive of moderate rubra lochia. A large amount of rubra lochia is defined as saturating a pad every 15 to 30 minutes. Serosa lochia is watery, pink, or brown-tinged in color and does not usually occur until 4 to 10 days postpartum.
