Answer to Question 1

A

Answer to Question 2

B
The infant who is sleeping may lose the grasp on the nipple and areola, resulting in chewing on the nipple and sore nipples. Inserting a finger into the corner of the baby's mouth between the gums to break the suction avoids trauma to the breast. A popping sound indicates improper removal of the breast from the baby's mouth and may cause cracks or fissures in the breast. Most mothers prefer the infant to continue to sleep after the feeding. Gentle wake-up techniques are recommended.

This is partially backed up by the fact that early grandfather clocks displayed IIII for the number 4 instead of IV. Early clockmakers apparently thought that the IIII balanced out the VIII (used for the number 8) on the clock face and that it just looked better.
