Answer to Question 1

True

Answer to Question 2

The classic model of dyadic communication says that the source (the firm) sends out a message (the ad) and a receiver (the customer) gets the message. The message is encoded and transmitted. The receiver decodes the message. The goal is that the receiver interprets the information in a manner similar to the intent of the sender. Copy testing is used to make sure this happens correctly before an ad is sent out.
