1) one-shot case study design:

A single group of test units is first exposed to a treatment X, and then a measurement is taken on the dependent variables.
2) one-group pretest-posttest design:
O1 X O2
A pretest is taken before the experimental treatment and then compared to the posttest results after the treatment.
3) static-group comparison design:
Group 1: X O1
Group 2: O2
Two treatment groups are used, one that has been exposed to the treatment and one that has not.
