It is possible to find pork and alcohol in Islamic countries; it is readily available at the regular supermarkets in expatriate enclaves. A number of the more developed economies in Asia are predominantly Buddhist so it is wrong to believe that Buddhism has a negative impact on marketing and economic development. In Islamic countries, instead of selling on credit, businesses typically offer price discounts to individuals paying the full cash value, and no discount for those paying in installments. With regard to gender, there are creative ways in which women can interact, for example through e-mail marketing.
