Answer to Question 1

A

Answer to Question 2

A large number of consumers are likely to select a counterfeit apparel item over a genuine item when there is a price advantage. This occurs because function risks are low for apparel. In contrast, the prestige gains are high since the consumer's peers believe that he is wearing an authentic brand. This is especially the case in markets where the product is not readily available, such as low-income countries, and where the consumer is less likely to notice the difference between counterfeits and authentic items.
