In a between subjects factorial ANOVA, how many F ratios are calculated?

  b. two d. four

Question 2

If, in a between subjects factorial study with two independent variables, both main effects are significant, but the interaction is not, what would the graph look like?

An F ratio is calculated for each main effect and the interaction.

Answer to Question 2

Intersecting lines would indicate that the interaction is significant. Flat lines would indicate that one of the main effects was not significant. Circles are not seen on graphs of this type.
