The three patterns are genocide, population transfer, and subjugation. Genocide is the extermination (or attempted extermination) of a group, and population transfer involves moving the minority population to a remote or undesirable location. Subjugation is the most common conflict pattern and involves the majority population have more access to all social resources, although the minority groups live in the same general area.
