Rites of passage are formal rituals that mark the end of one status and the beginning of another. An example is the graduation ceremony.

Answer to Question 2

Some research suggests that day care can increase children's stress levels and behavioral problems, but the differences are only slight and short-lived. Other research suggests that attendance can increase educational achievement. Overall, research supports the use of day care.
