Explain the crude birth rate. Define mortality.

Define migration, distribution, and density.

Differentiate among internal migration, immigration, and emigration. Compare the pull factors and the push factors of voluntary immigration at the international level.

Define population composition. Explain the sex ratio.
Describe a population pyramid.

Encourage students to include any personal viewpoints on the various demographic topics in their responses.
