The Morgans send out birth announcements for their new baby, Robin. Friends and relatives who think the baby is a girl send cards with hearts and flowers; those who think the baby is a boy send cards with cars and soccer balls.
 
  This demonstrates that in our culture
   a. girls are more valued and welcomed as babies.
