Pluralism refers to a society with different ethnic, cultural, and racial groups that treat each other with mutual respect instead of competing and trying to dominate each other. Minority cultures can maintain their own distinctiveness. Multiculturalism is the most stable form of pluralism, where cultural groups exist side by side as well as equally.
