Answer to Question 1

Impression management describes how we manipulate the ways we present ourselves to others to create the best possible impression as we understand it. In other words, we consider the social situation we are in and we act accordingly to satisfy how we want to be seen by others as well as how we can achieve particular goals. For example, a person who dresses up for a job interview and presents their most professional behavior is engaging in impression management. Also, a person going on a first date is likely to carefully present whom they are based on whether or not they wish to have a second date.

The dogs detected 54 of the 55 lung cancer patients as having cancer, detected 28 of the 31 breast cancer patients, and gave only three false-positive results (detecting cancer in people who didn't have it).
