Answer to Question 1

No, only those licensed health care providers who have the authority by their states to write prescriptions and orders are permitted to do so. Examples include a medical doctor (MD), nurse practitioner (ARNP), physician's assistant (PA), dentist (DDS), osteopathic doctor (DO), and podiatrist (DPM).
