Answer to Question 1

The flexible endoscope is an important tool of the trade for speech-language pathologists and otorhinolaryngologi sts because it allows them to view body cavities that they could not otherwise examine. More specifically, this flexible device enables clinicians to assess the structures of the nasal, oral, laryngeal, and pharyngeal spaces. A flexible endoscope can also be used to evaluate the client's swallowing function. In addition, this procedure does not expose clients to radiation that can damage body tissues. As a result, clinicians will have more time to examine their clients because they do not need to worry about overexposing clients to radiation.

Answer to Question 2

Teeth that have fused together at the root
Teeth that have extremely thin or missing enamel (amelogenesis imperfecta)
Teeth with enamel stained by the use of the antibiotic tetracycline or fluoride
