Answer to Question 1

An enterprise-wide resource planning system represents a single integrated information system in which all of the company's information is recorded and managed. The ERP includes more than the accounting information system (or general ledger system). It also may include information from all of the other functional areas of the business such as human resources, marketing, production, and distribution.
