Answer to Question 1

Mainstreaming is the policy of placing students with disabilities in regular classes to the fullest possible extent. It means that regular classroom teachers will sometimes be required to instruct students with special needs for at least part of the school day.

Answer to Question 2

The core features of a humanistic approach to instruction include demonstrating respect, courtesy, and fairness to students, taking an interest in students' lives and showing them that you are concerned about any problems they may have that would make it difficult for them to succeed in class, discussing inappropriate and disruptive student behaviors in private, and using humor as a way to deal with potentially disruptive situations.
