Answer to Question 1

Negative stereotypes of older workers include being inflexible, resistant to learning new skills, and coasting until retirement. Contrary to stereotypes, older workers function as well as they did 20 or 30 years earlier. They also have more wisdom and seasoned judgment. The input of older workers in the United States is often not accorded the consideration it deserves. Another serious problem of older workers is the rising cost of health insurance and the increasing reluctance of firms to provide any sort of job-based coverage.

Answer to Question 2

FALSE
