Answer to Question 1

FALSE

Answer to Question 2

The forms of innovation are as follows: sustaining, disruptive, incremental, radical, manufacturer, and end-user. Regarding existing business impact, sustaining innovation is incremental in nature; it allows companies to approach their markets in the same manner as they have done in the past. Disruptive innovation, on the other hand, is so extreme that it changes the market in which companies operate. Regarding degree of uncertainty impact, incremental innovation is a slow-and-steady approach in which companies exploit existing technology and operate under conditions of low uncertainty about the future. In contrast, radical innovation requires companies to make quantum leaps, exploring new technology and operating under highly uncertain conditions. Regarding source of innovation impact, the traditional form is called manufacturer innovation, in which an individual or organization develops an innovation for the purpose of selling it. With end-user innovation, the individuals (customers) who use a company's products inspire new ideas.
