It states the expected relationship between variables, it is testable, it is consistent with the existing body of knowledge, and it is stated simply and concisely.

Answer to Question 2

It is not possible to prove a hypothesis. Based on the data gathered, the researcher tentatively retains or rejects the hypothesis.
