Beta testing is the process of allowing future system users to try out the new system on
their own. Software vendors, such as Microsoft, often release beta versions of their products for
users to try and to test. Such users report problems back to the vendor. Beta testing is the last
stage of testing. Normally, products in the beta test phase are complete and fully functioning;
they typically have few serious errors.
