Next, they conduct a gap analysis, a study that highlights the differences between the business requirements that emerge from strategic planning and the capabilities of the ERP system. The implementation team then develops processes it will use and configures the software. In the final steps, the company's IT staff writes procedures, trains the users, and tests the system.
