Answer to Question 1

D

Answer to Question 2

Third Normal Form removes transient dependencies. Transient dependencies are where an attribute depends on another attribute, not the key, for its meaning. An example might be an entity storing information about CDs that contains, among others describing the CD, two columns: Studio and StudioCity. The attribute Studio City depends upon and describes Studio, not the key of the entity which relates to the CD. The studio attributes should be placed in a separate entity.
