Answer to Question 1

TRUE

Answer to Question 2

Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) is a popular network protocol for providing e-mail services. SMTP makes use of two components: a user agent and a mail transfer agent. On the client end, the user agent (UA) prepares the message and puts it into a form that can be transmitted across a TCP/IP network. The mail transfer agent (MTA) transfers the mail across the network or over the Internet. On the server end, SMTP servers receive outgoing mail from clients and transmit mail to destination e-mail servers. Another type of SMTP server maintains the mailboxes from which e-mail clients retrieve their mail.
