Answer to Question 1

TRUE

Answer to Question 2

Both shared reading and repeated readings are read-aloud strategies. Shared reading is usually done using a big book or other large print text. The teacher and the class of beginners partake in the reading and rereading of favorite stories, songs, and poems. Shared reading allows children to watch what a more expert reader does with text. Repeated readings are usually done with favorite stories and are a type of memory reading in which recalling and rehearsing takes place. It instills a sense of independence in children. Text needs to be predictable and repetitive so that children can easily anticipate text and join in.
