Answer to Question 1

A
Burkhardt and Nathaniel's (2008) definition of a virtuous person lists four virtues that are more
significant than others: compassion, discernment, integrity, and trustworthiness. Understanding,
empathy, and sympathy are all fine attributes, but they do not necessarily contribute to this definition
of a virtuous person. Following the rules is an example of deontological thought, and making the best
decision that is fair for all is an example of relativism.

Answer to Question 2

C
The position of National Coordinator for Health Information Technology was created through an
Executive Order in 2004.
