An individual with a BS can obtain specialization in case management. Advanced diabetes
management nurses generally hold an advanced practice certification as either a Nurse Practitioner or
Clinical Nurse Specialist. Family nurses general are Nurse Practitioners. There is no such
certification as technology nurse. However, nurses can be certified in Informatics Nursing.
