Answer to Question 1

D
The ethical principles of beneficence, fidelity, nonmaleficence, justice, autonomy, veracity, and respect for others are considered to be ethical principles and rules. They all concern behaviors and beliefs that influence how individuals make decisions when faced with ethical dilemmas, such as those encountered by nurses in their practice settings.

Answer to Question 2

C
Virtue ethics contends that virtues such as truthfulness and trustworthiness develop over time, and that an individual's character must be developed (i.e., one is not born with this) by nature and habit. Therefore, the person will be predisposed to behaving and living virtuously. Actions based on morals and unchanging principles are characteristic of deontological thinking. Whatever the person thinks is right is an example of relativism.
