Answer to Question 1

1
Explanation: 1. The nurse should recognize threatening behavior and keep a safe distance from the threatening
visitor. The nurse should obtain assistance, but yelling may increase the visitors aggression.
The nurse should not leave the client unless it is absolutely necessary to obtain assistance.

Answer to Question 2

3
Explanation: 1. The violent person is contained and police have arrived; it is not necessary to alert other staff
regarding the situation. It would be inappropriate to call the persons physician and not to take
further action such as completing reports and notifying administration.

Diet, eye exercise, drug therapy, and corrective lenses can all help manage nearsightedness.
