2. Exposure to different illnesses brought about by European settlement resulted in increased mortality among Indian tribes, but not to the extent of eradicating Indian presence in areas of the country where they are no longer present.
3. Employment opportunities were not a factor explaining why some tribes are no longer in their ancestral origin area.
4. While some tribes agreed to voluntary relocation, this was not the common practice among Indian tribes.
