Answer to Question 1

ANS: B
It is important to be able to identify and fully understand the potential weaknesses of qualitative research
Qualitative studies do not generally use any statistical tests.
Even if the reviewer is confused, the study itself would describe the type of study conducted.
Many qualitative studies do not have a hypothesis.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: C
Network sampling is useful for locating samples difficult or impossible to obtain in other ways. Network sampling takes advantage of social networks and the fact that friends tend to have characteristics in common.
Accidental or convenience sampling would not be likely to yield an adequate sample of HIV-positive individuals.
Cluster sampling would not be the best method for finding the desired sample in this case.
Simple random sampling would not work well because the researcher is looking for a specific subgroup of the general population.
