Abania, a small country in the East, has a single party from which a leader is chosen through regularly held elections. Anyone can become a member of the party as long as they adhere to the rules of the party.
 
  The leader is chosen by free and fair elections where all the citizens of Abania can cast their votes. Is the country a democracy?
  A. Yes, a country need not have multiple parties as long as anyone can contest in elections.
  B. No, since anyone can become a member of the party it is not a true democracy.
  C. Yes, since regular elections are held where another leader can be elected.
  D. No, the existence of a single party and the prevalence of its ideology do not ensure adequate contestation.
  E. Yes, as long as the party is able to maintain free and fair elections the country can be considered a democracy.
