President Ronald Reagan set a precedent in 1986 by granting amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants. What would be the economic and political effects of a new amnesty? Would you support such a move? Defend your position.

Further, explain how amnesty could also create a political backlash against politicians by conservative groups in American society such as the Tea Party.
3, Explain why the student would or would not support such a move using evidence from the chapter to support the position.
