1, Describe how, in terms of total number of immigrants, immigration has fluctuated but has increased dramatically since the 1930s.
2, Describe how the immigration rate dropped dramatically in the 1930s with the implementation of strict immigration laws, and indicate that it remains relatively low, at around 4 percent, even though it has been steadily increasing.
