An ideal response will:
1, Note that seniority plays a larger role in the selection of committee chairs in the Senate than it does in the House.
2, Explain why committee chairs are the most important influencers of their committees' agendas.
3, Explain the role chairs play in scheduling hearings, hiring staff, appointing subcommittees, and managing committee bills when they are brought before the full house.
