Answer to Question 1

The use of slanted alphabets does not help children to learn cursive more easily or quickly.
The slanted alphabets' manuscript and cursive letter forms are, like the vertical manuscript and cursive forms, dissimilar.
There is no evidence that using the slanted alphabet's continuous strokes to form manuscript letters resulted in children having a better writing rhythm, a faster writing speed, or a smaller number of reversed letters than when using single strokes.
Slanted alphabets require young children to engage in fine motor motions that are beyond their physical developmental level.
