This is when a defendant's cultural background is considered to play a central role on what happened. In a cultural defense, the defendant defends him or herself partially on the lines of their cultural background.

Answer to Question 2

Some answers are decrease of the extended family because of increase in urban life, women entering the workforce, decrease in marriage and childbearing, and various government policies to regulate the family structure and size.
