1. Cooperatives are groups that typically exist for economic purposes, to share costs and revenue.
2. They are typically democratic, with each member given voting rights and equal participation.
3. An example is the Guna mola weavers.
4. Its members are Guna women. They join for economic security as well as support from other members. The cooperative buys material and distributes it to members.

1. A primary group consists of people who interact with each other and know each other personally.
2. Friendship networks are an example of a primary group.
3. Secondary groups identify with each other based on some common ground, such as membership, but may not meet or interact face-to-face.
