Answers vary and include:Games tend to convince students that they are escaping from learning, thus drawing attention away from the intrinsic value and motivation of learning. Winning the game becomes a student's primary focus and that the instructional purpose is lost in the pursuit of this goal. Students tend to confuse game rules with real-life rules.
