Answer to Question 1

D
Feedback:
Although gerontological nurses may often be the best providers of alternative therapies, not all gerontological nurses have had additional preparation in complementary and alternative therapies. Even among gerontological nurses who do know yoga or aromatherapy, not all will be proficient enough in these techniques to use them with patients. The nurse's first duty is to ensure that the patient makes an informed choice about benefits, risks, and limitations.

Answer to Question 2

B
Feedback:
Anorexia, weight gain, and a puffy face are all characteristics of hypothyroidism.
