Phenytoin is an anticonvulsant medication with some antiarrhythmia properties. Mr. Cubber is already receiving phenytoin to control seizure activity. He recently started on isoniazid for tuberculosis, aspirin for arthritis, and Tagamet for ulcers.
 
  Next month, you may find

Isoniazid, aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid), and cimetidine (Tagamet) all would cause an increase in serum phenytoin levels. Folic acid (response D) would not be affected. Responses B and C are incorrect.
