Answer to Question 1

C
Individuals receiving corticosteroids, such as for rheumatoid arthritis, have a diminished in-flammatory process and decreased immunity. Open ulcers anywhere can lead to infection, but chronic steroid use places the patient at high risk. Patients with methicillin-resistant Staphylo-coccus aureus (MRSA) are in isolation. Being cognitively impaired does increase risk, but not as much as steroid use.

Answer to Question 2

B
The chances of STDs, including HIV, increase with the increased number of sexual partners. Many older patients do not know about safer sexual practices, so for patient safety, this is the priority.
