Answer to Question 1

First, state the name of the student who is misbehaving and clearly describe the undesirable behavior. Focus on the behavior and not on the person. In other words, state what was done that was unacceptable, rather than stating the student himself or herself is unworthy, stupid, or incompetent. Second, provide a reason why the behavior was undesirable. Third, describe the desirable behavior that should replace the undesirable one. Fourth, be firm and in charge, and do not act in an overtly angry or threatening manner.
