(1) The objective should describe the behavior the student is supposed to engage in. (2) The objective should describe the conditions under which the student will perform the behavior. (3) The objective should define what behaviors constitute evidence that the objective has been mastered.

Answer to Question 2

(1) As children begin school, patient and constant immersion in and reminding of basic classroom rules and procedures is needed. (2) During middle elementary years focus on teaching the specific rules that apply to each activity. (3) As students finish elementary school and begin adolescence, concern yourselves with motivating students who may be tuning out of school as the pressures of puberty place their minds on other concerns, and with handling disruptive and contentious students. (4) During the last two years of high school teach the right material to maximize learning, tailoring instruction to life and career goals, and help students manage their own learning.
