Answer: For the Northern Hemisphere: March, spring equinox, and equator; June, summer solstice, and the Tropic of Cancer; September, fall equinox, and the equator; and December, winter solstice, and the Tropic of Cancer.

Answer: The North and South Poles are at the ends of the Earth's axis of rotation. Lines of latitude: solar energy distribution. Lines of longitude: time. Plane of the ecliptic: orbital plane of Earth. Equator: center of the migrating declination of the Sun.
