Instructional alignment is the match between learning objectives, learning activities, and assessments. For example, one of Scott's learning objectives was for his students to understand Bernoulli's principle, he provided examples that illustrated the principle, and his assessment measured the extent to which they understood the principle. His instruction was aligned.
