You have a new classmate who is from another fraternity. You were told that members of that specific fraternity are aggressive and tend to be obnoxious. When observing him in class you do find him somewhat aggressive and so, when he asks for your notes a week later, you vehemently refuse. After a while this student behaves toward you in a rather obnoxious way. This is best explained by
