Archaeologists uncover a fossil imprint of a palm frond in New Jersey. Through various tests and analyses, they see that the fossil is from about 200 million years ago  the Jurassic period.

Answer: Today, in most cases, palms are found in regions of tropical climates. So, using the principle of Uniformitarianism, you can conclude that New Jersey had a tropical climate during the Jurassic period.
