Answer to Question 1

ANS: C
For patient transport you must use either a pneumatically powered ventilator or one that can run solely on batteries. Always take along a manually powered bag-valve mask, and for long trans-ports be sure to have backup power available (extra cylinders or batteries).

Answer to Question 2

ANS: B
Volume can be controlled directly by the displacement of a device such as a piston or bellows. Volume can be controlled indirectly by controlling flow.
